Winter is a very special time of year in Sesto.

Here in Val Pusteria/Pustertal there are snow-sure and perfectly groomed pistes for all skiers, for families and for active good skiers. From Sesto you can also set off on a ski safari to nearby Comelico: an experience not to be missed. The Drei Zinnen ski area is just 500 metres away and can be reached directly on foot to start your day’s skiing.

Sesto and the surrounding villages in Alta Pusteria, the 3 Peaks Dolomites region, are a true Eldorado for cross-country skiers and the No. 1 cross-country skiing region in Italy. You can access the extensive network of cross-country trails right next to Ariane’s Guesthouse and set off straight away.

We recommend a walk to the Talschlusshütte in the Fischleintal, a hike into the Innerfeldtal or the Sextner Almenrunde.

If you don’t want to go on a hike with great views on groomed trails, as a guest of Ariane’s Guesthouse you can take part in guided snowshoe hikes with the Alpine School three times a week free of charge. You will also receive the equipment for the snowshoe hikes from the Alpine School. A snowshoe hike is the ideal way to enjoy nature and recharge your batteries.
Step by step, you climb the slopes and peaks, enjoy the silence and experience the impressive natural beauty of the Sesto Dolomites: untouched snow, magnificent views, bright sunshine and tranquil seclusion.
Here in Sesto, for example, the Sesto Stone with a beautiful view of the Three Peaks or the tour from Unterebenkofel to Hochebenkofel awaits you.
In winter, there are numerous activities to choose from to enrich your stay in Sesto. You can go on a thrilling sledge ride, where the ascent on foot or by lift paves the way for a fun descent (please note that helmets are compulsory for children under 14).
Ice skating is possible right next to Ariane’s Guesthouse and you can try curling, which is fun for all ages.
For a romantic experience, you can take a horse-drawn sleigh ride into the Fiscalina Valley, and you can also play at the nearby indoor tennis centre, where tennis star Jannik Sinner took his first steps.
For climbing enthusiasts, there is the climbing hall next to Ariane’s Guesthouse, where climbing and bouldering is possible all year round.
